From the Czech Republic, Jiri (Jerry) Cafourek has a degree in piano and musical theory. He taught himself to play the guitar when he was eleven. He took singing lessons and sang in his high school choir. In addition, he performed with the church choir in Olomouc.

While in high school, he formed his first band, ARTAT. Later, he was a musical advisor for beginning bands. He gained invaluable experience as a singer and piano player in “The Original Swing and Jazz Orchestra” and “Klaus Kinski in Memory”.

In Chicago, he played with the Czech cover band,‘Vata’ where he met Ciba and they had an instant rapport. He formed the band Ravenhouse with his sister and 2 friends in 1999.

When Ciba needed lead guitar tracks for his 1st cd and former band mates and friends failed to show for various studio bookings, Jiri saved the day by coming in on a minute’s notice. After recording several tracks this way, Ciba asked him to record the rest of the cd.

Because Rhythm on 22nd needed a lead guitarist and Ravenhouse needed a drummer - Jiri is now Rhythm on 22nd’s lead guitarist and Ciba is Ravenhouse’s drummer.
